If you’ve ever wondered if sales calls are going to get easier than keep reading.
For this weeks Tap Into the Universe, I decided to answer the following question…
“Are sales call ever going to get easier?”
Because I was speaking to someone earlier this week and she could’t imagine closing the sale on a call she was about to have the next day. If you can’t believe that it’s possible, it won’t be – you won’t get a client who’s probably ideal for you either.
I also know that this is a common challenge for any business that uses enrollment conversations, which is why I’m choosing to write this question this week.
So reading your energy, I’m shown a vision …
You’re standing must on the outside of a merry-go-round.
It’s going very quickly. You’re poised to jump on, but it just keeps going faster and faster.
When you do finally take the leap, you fall flat on your face.
You turn to me and give me this look of, WTF? But you dust your self and try again.
That’s what discovery calls are like for you!
Am I ever going to get on the merry-go-round?
The real problem here is that you’re trying to be perfect. You think that you have to be on the merry-go-round and do everything right. Yo don’t and it’s messing with your head.
The best thing to do now is to treat your sales like a coffee date. You know, like a date where you’re going to be
It means that you should relax, focus on the person in front of you and get to know them.
It also means that your sales will get easier when you relax and treat this like a coffee date.
Here’s a quick exercise to help you relax …
- Release your obligation to be perfect
- Imagine the person in front of you and scanning their energy. How do they feel? What do they need? See their heart and send them love.
- Every time you get nervous during the call, bring your awareness back to them by reconnecting with their heart.
The reason this works is that it brings your focus back to the person front of you instead of you – that’s the only reason why these calls are hard.
Go find three people that makes you a little bit nervous and scan them. See how you are before and after. Let me know in the comments what you notice.
Also, Start using the mantra, ”What if sales were all super fun and easy? Wouldn’t that be nice?”
